The General Manager of KNUST’s Focus FM and Morning Show Host at Nhyira FM, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 5th Floodlights Media Excellence Awards 2025, clinching both the Radio Personality of the Year (Ashanti Region) and the coveted Media Personality of the Year awards.
The prestigious ceremony, held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the CCB Auditorium, KNUST, celebrated excellence, and innovation in Ghana’s media landscape.
The event brought together prominent figures from the media fraternity, politics, and traditional leadership to honour distinguished personalities making remarkable contributions to journalism and broadcasting.
A seasoned broadcaster and media trainer, Nana Jantuah has played a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of media professionals through his leadership at Focus FM, the official campus radio station of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Over the past two decades, he has transformed the station into a dynamic training hub for students pursuing careers in journalism, broadcasting, and communication.
In addition to his managerial duties, Nana Jantuah serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Media and Communication, KNUST, and contributes to the work of the University Relations Office (URO).
His commitment to mentorship and student development is driven by his vision “to equip students with the skills to become independent, credible, and ethical journalists, grounded in media and information literacy.”
His longstanding dedication to the media industry has earned him several honours, including the Most Outstanding Journalist and Media Personality of the Year (2021) award from the United Clergy International Association (UCIA).
Through his multifaceted roles as a broadcaster, educator, and mentor, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah continues to inspire and empower young talents to excel in media and communication, solidifying his reputation as one of Ghana’s most respected voices in broadcasting.
He holds two master's degrees and is currently pursuing a PhD in Green HRM.
